A beautiful dark ruby colour. The nose is very pleasant with fruity and spicy aromas. The wine is nice on the palate, where we find the same fruity and spicy notes and a few woody hints. Its fine and silky tannins give it great elegance.

Blend of 80% Grenache, 10% Syrah and 10% Carignan. Brilliant ruby. Ripe red berry and floral aromas are complicated by hints of white pepper, incense and game. Gently sweet raspberry and spice cake flavors show good depth and picking up a smoky nuance and hint of allspice. Gently tannic and a suggestion of smoked meat.

2019 ARJOLLE, COTES DE THONGUE (FR), BTL $78
Characterized by its deep, dark, cherry red colour. The nose opens up with red fruit. Aromas of blackberry develop after a few swirls in the glass. The palate offers a smooth attack and surprisingly velvety tannins. Exceptional balance between acidity and the density of the tannins. Excellent ripeness with notes of black fruits and prune at the end.

Juicy black-currant and plum flavours with hints of spices from the 12-months in French oak barrel ageing. Firmly backed up by elegant and well-integrated tannins. Dense with a fresh acidity and a long finish.

A ripe fruity nose of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, almost Pauillac-like bouquet with graphite hints and black fruits. The palate is medium-bodied with elegant somewhat firm tannins, impressive density and texture, a well structured Moulis offering a well-balanced finish.
2009 LA TOUR DU PIN , GRAND CRU CLASSÉ , ST EMILION (FR) BTL $240
Made from 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, the ripe black raspberry and blueberry fruit are present, along with some sandy, loamy soil notes. The tannins are sweet, but very elevated, and the wine rich and long but currently somewhat austere and needing bottle age.
